President Russell M. Nelson invited us last General Conference and again at the beginning of this year to prepare for the April 2020 General Conference by studying more about the Restoration. He said, to “immerse yourself in the glorious light of the Restoration.”

Below you will find links to lessons and ideas to study various parts of the Restoration with your family. Most will be easy to do with little preparation on your part. More will be added in the near future.

Family Home Evening Lessons

In the family home evening lessons you will find there are more activities that can or even should be done in one sitting. Children, especially younger children, learn best with short, frequent teaching moments. They will absorb more when you do a short lesson to introduce the doctrine. Then on a different day do one of the activities. And then, again, on yet another day revisit the topic with a new activity.

In this family home evening lesson you will learn what the apostasy is and why a restoration of the church was needed. There are activities geared to youth/older children and others for primary/nursery aged children.
